BETA MY26 XTRAINER 300 2T

INTRODUCING MY26 XTRAINER RANGE

Beta’s MY26 XTrainer receives a refreshed look, building on the recent ‘Total Grey’ design to further enhance the appeal of this popular, Rignano sull’Arno built range.

The XTrainer provides riders with a unique mix of performance, ergonomics, and design that’s lead to the global success of this do-it-all enduro model. For MY26, it boasts a completely new 250 2T engine, inheriting the recent technical updates released in the RR 250 XPRO 2T, and adapted for the milder nature of the Xtrainer.

Thanks to these unique characteristics, such as first-rate engine docility and Beta’s trademark Rideability, the XTrainer responds perfectly to the needs of riders who seek a high-performance bike that is, above all, easy-to-ride and practical, allowing the rider to easily deal with most challenges that off road riding can bring. Inspired by trials riding, the XTrainer provides a light-weight and smaller overall package for enduro riders, to provide the rider with a boost of confidence. Whether you are an amateur looking for your first bike, a skilled enduro rider seeking something less tiring and challenging, or an expert rider who wants an extreme enduro companion, the XTrainer is the ideal solution.

Lower to the ground than other full-size enduro models, featuring a narrow mid-section, along with a broad power delivery that is almost electric-like. The XTrainer has the right power to hold the racing line, but favours slightly slower and more technical trails, where it can exploit its trials-inspired design, as well as the torque of the renowned Beta 250 or 300 two-stroke engine.

Here is a summary of the model’s characteristics:

Lightweight: at just 99kg (dry), the XTrainer is an extremely agile motorcycle, even for novices, a bike that is easier to manoeuvre at slow speeds and requires less energy from the rider. This enhances the riding experience;

Seat height: reduced by 20mm compared to the RR X-PRO range, to allow many riders to have more comfortable footing in most situations;

Brakes: Nissin, with discs measuring 260mm at the front and 240mm at the rear;

Battery: lightweight, high-performance lithium battery;

Fork and Shock: R16V with 43mm stanchions at the front and progressive linkage system at the rear. The suspension is fully adjustable, the fork offering adjustable spring pre-load and rebound, and the shock is adjustable in terms of its spring pre-load, compression and rebound;

Power delivery: smooth and linear, full-bodied and powerful – the perfect mix to have fun everywhere;

Beta Progressive Valve: the Beta Progressive exhaust valve can be adjusted by the rider from an easy external adjuster, allowing engine performance to be effectively adapted to suit a range of riding. Turn the adjuster inward for slower speeds, turn the adjust out for more free-rev fun;

Map switch mounted on the handlebar: Rain or sun modes can be changed on the fly, to compliment the progressive valve;

Tank: 8.5 litre transparent tank

Automatic oil injection: located beneath the seat (which is easily opened at the touch of a button), it does away with the need for oil-fuel premix;

Soft tyres: their soft compound and aggressive design guarantees grip in every situation, the rider benefits from responses that are less twitchy compared to a tyre with a stiffer carcass;

Cooling fan: The fan is mounted as standard on XTrainer, to ensure the engine always maintains the ideal running temperature, even on slower trails. A thermoswitch controls the fan so no rider input is needed;

Electric starter: precise and reliable, essential when restarting the bike in tricky situations;

Engine and clutch: derived from the RR X-PRO model range, no corners are cut with the Xtrainer, a diaphragm clutch along with a six-speed transmission complete the package.

For MY26, Betamotor engineers introduced a set of aesthetic and functional updates. Specifically:

Graphics: the plastic retains the beloved grey colour, updated with modern and vibrant graphics, and contemporary white finishes that stand out and embrace its character;

Taillight: XTrainer gets a new LED taillight, more modern and sturdier than the previous model;

Speedometer: the MY26 range is equipped with a new speedometer, which is larger, easier to read and more robust. This new speedometer provides the rider with the same information such as speed, distance, trip meter, and low oil warning;

250 2T engine: the 250cc engine was subjected to a series of internal updates to make its behaviour more similar to its big sister, the 300cc. This was achieved by employing a crankshaft with a reduced stroke (which is now the same on the 250 and the 300cc), with a consequent increased bore size compared to the previous model. The new engine is completed by an updated head with a different combustion chamber and a new cylinder with modified transfer port geometry. Following these updates, the torque and linear power delivery of the 250cc is significantly increased, without affecting the overall performance, and also positively enhancing the motorcycle’s handling, with centralised weight and lowered centre of gravity. Plus, the new crankcase houses larger and sturdier main bearings.

Transmission ratios: First introduced in the RR X-PRO, the second gear was significantly updated to provide more range of use. This has increased the smoothness when switching to the third gear. (This update was made on both the 250 and the 300 2T models).

Models are due: October 2025
