Like its two siblings in the all-new 700CL-X modern-classic family, style oozes from every angle, and the 693cc parallel twin engine has all the performance answers for city riding and twisty road-hunting escapes.

And it’s in a package bursting with goodness, including an electronic throttle, anti-lock braking, multiple riding modes, cruise control, full LED lighting, USB charging, self-cancelling indicators and an adaptive headlight.

TICKS ALL BOXES

The ‘Sport’ moniker has real meaning, straddling both form and function. Highlights include Brembo brakes, petal discs, sticky 17-inch Maxxis rubber, a solo seat, clip-on handlebars and bar-end mirrors to create an inimitable ‘go-fast’ package.

POWER TO THE MAX

The 700CL-X Sport doesn’t have to deal with a performance straight jacket like CFMOTO’s learner-approved machines: it’s the full shebang with 73hp (55kW) and 68Nm of linear torque

SMOOTH OPERATOR

With an increase in performance the excitement can build, but the 700CL-X Sport helps to smooth the edges with a slipper clutch – designed to ward off any over-engine revs and rear wheel hopping on aggressive down changes.

A TOUCH OF CLASS

The 700CL-X Sport has beautiful aesthetics and lovely retro touches such as the round headlight. And the aluminium tank-wrapping side plates complete a watershed styling package.

STRESS-FREE ONE-TOUCH CRUISE CONTROL

Leave the irritating speed differentials to someone else: with one-touch cruise control – a new addition to the CFMOTO electronic arsenal – just set your speed and let the 700CL-X Sport do the rest. Cruise control is a rarity in the middleweight road bike ranks, so you’re ahead of the pack straight away.

SELF-ADJUSTING HEADLIGHT

The ‘smarts’ in headlights these days has gone to another level and, as well as delivering a great field and depth of vision in low- and high-beam, the 700CL-X Sort has an adaptive headlight that automatically adjusts to ambient brightness. Riding through a dark city tunnel? Let the Sport look after you.

LIGHT AND HUNGRY

Weight is just 205kg with a full tank of fuel, thanks to features such as the aluminium-alloy swingarm. Light equates to a host of advantages, including the ability to turn on a dime and less wear and tear and on the brakes and suspension.

SUSPENDED MOTION

Adjustable KYB suspension delivers a comfortable ride in the city, and when the pace – and pressure – builds the finesse and refinement continues. The limits are endless!
